Pa’lante: Building a Youth-led Transformative Justice Program from the Ground Up

The UMass Amherst History Department Feinberg Series Presents:
A workshop with Pa’lante Restorative Justice, a youth-led transformative justice program at Holyoke High School that is working to build youth power and dismantle the school-to-prison pipeline. Geared toward K-12 educators and community-based organizations, morning session participants will experience being in circle and learn about Pa’lante’s model. Those staying for the full day will have the opportunity to apply ideas to their own setting with the support and consultation of Pa’lante staff and student leaders. Â
Half Day: 10:00 am – 12:30 pm
Full Day: 10:00 am – 3:30 pm
There is a sliding scale donation suggested for this event of $10-50 for a half day or $20-100 for a full day. All donations goÂ directly to supporting Pa’lante’s critical work to end the school to prison pipeline.
Space is limited and registration is required! Limit of 8 attendees per organization and no more than 3 adults per group. Priority registration deadline: January 15. Light lunch from El Rincon included.

Venue: Note the new location!Â This event has *moved* to Holyoke High School. Holyoke High School is wheelchair accessible with ample free parking.
Young People Welcome: Young people of all ages are welcome at this event and all Feinberg Series events. There will be coloring books and crayons available for children.
