Western Mass. Medicare for All – Outreach Training
July 1 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pmFree
We are excited to offer this training for people who want to deepen their understanding of how to effectively engage others in the movement for Medicare for All in Massachusetts. This lively and interactive program will present the current context for Single Payer advocacy and explore our own hopes and concerns about the transition to such a system. We will also be discussing the non-binding ballot question to appear in six local districts in November, specifics about Medicare for All and proposed state legislation, and strategies for countering opposition arguments.
Anyone interested in doing outreach with WMM4A – tabling, speaking to individuals or groups, writing letters or opinion pieces – will benefit from this training. We especially encourage your participation as we embark on an education and advocacy campaign this summer to support the ballot question. While this training is focused towards people with some experience, enthusiastic newcomers are welcome. We may need to cap the number of participants, so please RSVP as soon as possible!
Register for this training by sending your name, phone number, and email address to Beth Eisenberg, our Training Coordinator: jubilada@iCloud.com
