About The Resistance Center
We are a peace center rooted in the historical work of Frances Crowe and the successor to the Western Massachusetts program of the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC). We reopened in 2017, and continue the legacy begun in 1968 to advance the cause of peace and social justice. Bringing together individuals, groups, and organizations in the Valley through common work and goals, our work moves across churches, civic groups, and non-profit organizations to have the greatest impact. Whether we need to mobilize people in the streets or provide support to partner organizations, TRC leads organizing for social justice in Western Massachusetts.

Ourmission
\The Resistance Center for Peace & Justice recognizes and resists the ills created from oppression and the culture of militarism in Western Massachusetts and beyond. We work to create a society based on peace and social justice. We strive to be the connective tissue between communities, organizations, faith institutions and elected officials. We seek to educate and empower communities in confronting these problems and find lasting solutions which build unity and foster peace.
