The Welcoming Community Trust campaign in Easthampton involved collaboration between the Resistance Center for Peace & Justice, the Easthampton Community Coalition, and the Easthampton City Council––in particular City Councilor at Large Peg Conniff and District 2 Councilor Homar Gomez. The Resistance Center collaborated on a presentation by Peg Conniff explaining the impacts of the ordinance and breaking down some of the common misconceptions, and gathered signatures from local officials and community advocates involved in passing similar measures in neighboring cities for a letter in support of the Welcoming Community Trust ordinance.
